Building a website for an Australian firm that collaborates on global initiatives with the UN, World Bank and other prestigious international agencies.
Circular Economy Alliance Australia (CEAA) is an Australian based company that organizes annual Global Leadership Programs to propagate the concept of circular economy and sustainable businesses. Our job was to design and develop their website from scratch. The leadership summits that they conducted were the primary tool for discussing and educating attendees about the circular economy and related topics. The agency collaborated with prestigious collaborators to mentor a selected group of members who had to enroll into the program beforehand.
The client's intention behind developing this website was to have a digital product to manage their global affiliates and participants. They hoped to attract members to their program through the website. The program has now been conducted for over three years and was fully booked every one of these years.
Let's dig deep into what it took to make this happen!

How prestigious collaborators heightened the stakes
CEAA collaborated with esteemed national and international bodies, some of which are as follows:
Apart from these bodies, the company also invited educators and speakers from the top-most universities of the world such as Harvard University.
But how does all this affect us?
CEAA was organizing the Leadership Program and inviting these renowned speakers, to eventually make an impact on the ground level. They were passionate about making businesses and their manufacturing lines waste-free. They were emphasising on the need to reuse and recycle resources. And so, they wanted top diplomats, policy-makers, leading industrialists, governments and nations to attend and learn from their summits. And so, these all people were now our website’s end-users. This niche strata of the audience increased the stakes to humungous extents. We knew we had to outperform ourselves to make a website that converts these visitors into members!
CEAA is an illustrious organization that works in the fields of environmental management and sustainability. They are actively intensifying discourse on the concepts of the circular economy. CEAA is an Australian Incorporated Company that brings together subject experts, thought leader from government, industry, university, consulting and training organizations. These esteemed personalities impart their expertise on the subject through mentorships, training and consultations.
CEAA conducts an annual Global Leadership Program, in which as many as 50 expert mentors from pivotal national and international bodies participate. It is an exclusive program that is open for only 30 members every year. And the program has been continuing successfully for the past three years.
The website was affiliated with globally pivotal organizations, diplomats, delegates from different nations, and people of influence from different industries. Hence security was a big focus area for the client.
We had to consistently be involved with the project to actively manage their alumni sections. Special login functionality was integrated into the website for only the attending members. They could access all the data shared during the program. They also could download the content of the presentations, and the resources mentioned during the entirety of the summit. We continue to take care of the login and user management functionality.
They were keen on the unhindered functioning of their alumni section. This continues to be our area of focus still as we manage this website.
CEAA did not have any workforce to assist them with their digital product. They still don't. From designing to developing, and now to maintaining the website we have everything solely on our shoulders. But this is a challenge that seemed huge initially but continues to shrink as we matured as a team.
Circular economy was the message that our client wanted to amplify through this website. They wanted to reach out to policymakers and people of power so that sustainable shifts could be introduced and even be felt on the ground level. This message resonated with us, and we wanted to be able to contribute by designing an effective website.
The users were spread all across the globe, and wanted for everyone to be hooked to website with their first click. It was a non-negotiable fact that the website had to have an international appeal.
We believe that the end-user is the centre and guiding force of any good UX design. And when we get to creating a positive user experience, we gauge it by making sure that the end-user can easily find relevant information that motivates them into a desirable action.
We began with constructing user flows by penning down extensive mind maps. We choreographed seamless user journeys throughout multiple pages of the website.
Next, we jumped onto creating detailed wireframes for the distinct pages
We were focused on keeping the user interface accessible and easily readable. We wanted the navigation around the website to be intuitive and were aiming for the visuals to be impactful. The website was structured effectively and we employed motion graphics to further a positive user experience.
Motion graphics are essentially animations that have text as a primary component. It is an excellent way to communicate information in a way that catches attention. We went with employing this technique to discuss in detail the Global Leadership Program. The program is the spine of the entire operation and it was imperative that we displayed information about it in a way that captured attention effortlessly. We made the video for the website and curated content and media for the video as well. Through motion graphics, we could actualize animated storytelling and integrated the media into the website. Through the integration of animations and video, we made a world of difference to the way visitors interacted with the website's pages. Not only was there an increase in traffic but also an augmentation in the time people spent on the website. We knew better than to complicate the crucial information we wanted to communicate, so kept the tone simple and elegant.

We developed an aesthetic and interactive website that fulfilled our client's every requirement. But the best outcome was that the leadership summits that was the core behind this project went on to be fully booked for three straight years and counting!
The alumni who attend this event also are offered easy access to resources, needful data and presentations. With every successful summit, real and substantial groundwork is laid to build a better world, and we feel that by doing our jobs well, we manage to contribute to this vision.
At first, working with Ankit and Zuku was a very hih risk proposition for us since United Nations and the Government of Australia was involved. But, seeng the temperament of their young team, we were convinced to take the risk. And, I am so glad we did because they delivered wonderfully. It’s been 3+ editions we have been working with them, they still maintain a lot of projects for us and we want to continue this relationship further and best of luck on their future journey.
